Lodging for your Christian Retreat :

The Lodge -7000 square feet, it has 8 bedrooms, each bedroom has its own bathroom. Each bedroom can be arranged to have a King Size bed or two single beds. The Lodge has a large dining room, a bar room, a large lobby, a commercial kitchen, and laundry facilities. Satellite TV and wireless Internet access is available. You can bring your lap top computer and access the Internet throughout the Lodge. All linen and cookware provided. We can provide meals for you by request. The lodge is an ideal place to hold a small Christian women's retreat of 20 or less people.

Cherokee House -4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, and laundry facilities. TV and VCR/DVD combo. All linen and cookware provided.

Sequoia Cottage - 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, full kitchen, and laundry facilities. TV and VCR/DVD combo. All linen and cookware provided.

The Cherokee House and Sequoia Cottage are nearby each other so they make for a great place for Christian youth retreats.

Chestnut Farmhouse 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, full kitchen, and laundry facilities. TV and VCR/DVD combo. All linen and cookware provided.

Watauga Building - A 1200 sq. ft. meeting facility with kitchen, bathrooms, and showers. Cookware provided. Wrap around deck in the back. Audio equipment available by request. The Watauga Building will hold a maximum capacity of 100 people. It is an ideal meeting place for your Christian retreat.

Watauga Lake View Deck -a 900 square ft. deck that overlooks the Watauga Lake. It is a beautiful location for your Christian retreat to gather for an afternoon picnic or evening cook out. We can provide picnic baskets for you by request

Available Activities Below is a selection of activities that you can enjoy during your Christian church retreat visit with us. We can arrange custom activities for you so if you have any suggestions please let us know.

1. Swimming, Fishing, and other water sports at nearby Watauga Lake and Elk River.
2. Hike our 6 miles of nature trails that are located throughout our property.
3. Explore nearby Tennessee waterfalls that are located along the Elk River.
4. In warm weather you can rent a pontoon boat and sail around the Watauga Lake.
5. In colder weather you can go skiing at Sugar Mountain.
6. Scavenger Hunt - Split up into teams and let us organize a Scavenger Hunt for you. This is great way to build team-working skills. We'll give each team a compass, tools, and a map that will lead them to clues that will enable them to find Sugar Hollow's Buried Treasure!
7. Visit and go shopping at the nearby eclectic towns of Boone, NC and Elizabethton, TN. The old time Mast General Store in Valle Crucis is also a must visit.
8. Horseshoes and other outdoors activities can be arrange by request. A Church Group Outdoor Olympics can be a great tradition to start. We can arrange for trophies and prizes.
